Looks like a nice ride.Keep in mind a nice daycab will bring top dollar just because they're hard to find.If tires and brakes and interior is good, and with that recent rebuild, looks like a good buy if they'll come down a little for cash. Good luck.

Looks to be a 9 or 10 speed. Have them take a picture of the door tag to get the actual specs on the rears. Also get pictures of the brakes and drums. Keep in mind you may have to rebuild the bushings or more on the air ride, as the AG100 suspension is hard on bushings and related parts.

I figured it was a 9 or a 10 from the lack of a splitter switch on the shifter. How much money to go completely through the air ride? My current truck is on springs so I don't have any experience working on an air ride system or paying the parts bill. I've driven several and I know I want air ride on my next truck. I'm going to talk to the banker tomorrow then call the seller after that. Hopefully the brakes/drums and suspension are in as good of shape as the rest of the truck.

The bushings will last a LONG time, but the bags are about $100 a piece. They will usually start leaking a little around the base just from age and the rubber getting dry.You may have to replace a stabilizer bar or two but it would be rare if everything wore out at the same time. Then u can fix alittle along without spending alot at one time.Good Luck.

8 bags are famous for hopping and bouncing and just being a real PITA off road that suspension would worry me far more than the 444 which should have had most of its issues cured by now. but as posted earlier thats a 17-21 engine. if you are looking for an air ride offroad truck Pete Airtrac is hard to beat neway is ok but expensive to keep up, low leaf and hendricksons copy are ok but no where near as good as Airtrac
That old 444 will probably still be running when the current generation of EPA motors are scrap :biggrin_25515:Make sure to get a picture of the fuse box if the windshield wasn't sealed properly they get wet and corrode

very little travel with the 8 bag air ride, or any air ride with short air bags walking beam or camelback is leaps and bounds better than any air ride when it comes to off road, Hendrikson has a good air ride suspension

Glad I am reading this now, instead of when I was hauling grain with my 1996 W900 equipped with the AG 100. I might have gotten stuck with one of the hundreds of loads I came out of the field grossing 110K+
