Me & my daughter were told that we would have 100 percent drop and hook dedicated route with nice new equipment and be home once a week. We were sent emails and text messages with the same info to recruit us. When we got to orientation on day two they take you in an office with your teammate to ask what the recruiter told you and that’s when you find out the truth! They tell you take it or leave it and offer you a bus ticket home. They lie about everything and what they tell you is then hard to believe at that point too. I had to throw away about $100 worth of my personal belongings because I could not carry it all on the bus and they won’t hold anything. They wasted our time and we got paid nothing but instead lost money. They will not try to correct the problem but just blame it on the recruiter. They also feed you stale gross food and barely any at that. No food or drink allowed in orientation. You are treated like you are 2 yrs old even though we are an experienced team. They put you in a disgusting bunk room that is about to be torn down with 1 paper thin tiny towel & 1 washcloth that you have to return to the office each day for another set. You don’t even get a trash can in your room just 2 small plastic trash bags. The room had spiders. Probably roaches too but I only saw spiders. I am still getting text and emails with these false advertisements. Hope this helps someone not make the same mistake!

Wow, what a terrible experience. Leaving orientation sounds like the only option. For tohers reading this thread anyone interested in ANY trucking company should insist they put current working drivers, in the division you are considering working in, in contact with you. ALL RECRUITERS LIE. Recruiters words do not carry any weight and will not force the trucking company to live by those recruiter words. The trucking company can give your phone number to numerous of their drivers and you can and should ask those drivers "what is your rate of pay, how much was your last few paychecks, how often do you get home and for how long, do you pick the route to drive and the place to fuel, what do benefits cost, etc." It's your life and asking question won't guarantee a good outcome, but not asking questions will produce a bad outcome.

ONLINE RESEARCH IS NOT ENOUGH before picking a place to work.

Another thing is never bring more to a company orientation than you can transport back home if something like this happens.

Man that sucks. There are companies out there that are good for teams that fly under the radar. These monster size companies make themselves so visible that it's easy for some to get drawn in. Any idea of your next step?

How did you get there? By bus? Rental car? USS Enterprise transporter? Just wondering how you had to discard things.

Was going to ask the same thing. If you dont have room for the bus out, and I have to assume you had a bus ride IN, so what happened in between?

A side note: My last truck (a 2015 freightliner) was a Covenant truck. What a piece of crap. Mismatched tires, bearings were shot, engine and frame had different mileages... Many other things.

Lesson learned. No more used trucks.

Another company hiding their true intentions behind religion. I family that I know operates their business like that. But will stick it in dry when you're not looking.
