New York Truck Travel Ban

Sounds like the jerk that almost took my rear corner off last week on 78 coming out of jersey.

Yes I can tell lots of stories about truck drivers and the stupid I have witnessed but I still see more of the stupid with the 4 wheelers than anyone else and for some reason they all seem to come out in the bad weather!

 

Unfortunately we have to deal with these drivers because they aren't leaving anytime soon and the industry is in a tailspin that I don't see it recovering from.

If the market gets bad enough, they will go do something else. Most of the ones doing the real dumb stuff jumped into it for the easy money that was around for the last few years. For a while, you could make almost every stupid business decision that there was, and still make money. You could even finance a brand new W900 for your first truck, and run it at 75, and be ok. Now that everything is more normal (except for fuel) they are starting to bail out. As far as fuel prices go, when I had my trucks, the higher fuel went, the more I made. I only paid about 1.60/gallon on average out of pocket. As long as I could get better than 6mpg, my fuel surcharge was ALWAYS more than I paid for fuel per mile.
