Lot of the trucks took the town roads since the interstate closures. Interesting to see if it worked out to save lives or just slowed egress? No matter the weather, there’s always a foreign driver trying to make a few Pennie’s while their carrier pushes them along. Poor guys are usually never own real cold weather cloths like carhartts or such.

Watch that video again & pay close attention to the road conditions. I mean come on with the dumb high horse crap, you’re making a fool out yourself with it. All of the trucks in your video were parked on a plowed roadway with no accumulated snow on the tractors or the roofs of the trailers. They were not stuck.

You get lake effect snow in Georgia? Because if you are trying to compare it to a hurricane there isn't a comparison.
A hurricane is a hundred miles wide, while lake effect snow is 15 miles wide. It is literary 5 inches of snow at the house, but 50 at the yard and 10 at the shipper and 1 at the receiver.
Now think of that variation in such a small area and tell me we knew 4 days ahead.

What we know is the area was going to get hit. What we did not know is were we going to get hit with 5 inches of snow, or 50 inches. We also didn't know if Buffalo was getting hit, or north of Buffalo, or south of Buffalo or all of it.

If there's bad weather coming make sure you aren't there for it! Turn down loads if you have to!

Dude, this same youtube channel has several videos from this storm, in the same exact area with numerous big trucks stuck. Here's another.

And NY State is probably the one of the best truck friendly. Wide roads, plenty of parking. Truck stops on almost every exit.
