I found a load picking up at 3:00 am tomorrow, delivers Sunday at 4:00 am. Puts me empty in Mobile Al. Pays $730 on 430 miles. Might as well, there’s no freight anywhere till Monday. I’ll have a total of 648 miles including my DH. Add $250 for TONU on Wednesdays cancelled load. Total $980. So $1.51pm. And I did it all in only 5 days. Lol. Ever since I bought my first Truck, holidays mean one thing. Lost revenue. While others collect paid days off, or make double and triple time working. I’ve worked maybe 3 Thanksgivings over the years. It’s never been worth it. This is by far the worst yet. It’s ok, We need to be home by Friday for Drs appointments Friday and Monday. Had we gone home, it would have turned into a 2 week home time. Been doing that too often as it is. With Christmas, along with a lousy first quarter next year, might as well get used to treading water for a while. It’s lunch time. Little Truckstop across from the Pilot here in South Bay has excellent Cuban food. Still Living Large, enjoying the warm weather. Trying hard to stay positive. Lol.

Rideandrepair and The Crossword Trucker Thank this. -
Also meant to add: I'm heading for KC Monday morning with a follow on to Denver for Wednesday morning...I haven't booked anything past that yet.
I do know the rates are going up now even if the volume isn't. #supplyanddemand That must mean the number of available trucks decreased.fordconvert and Rideandrepair Thank this.
