I have been here since I began my new job in trucking. I spent a few years doing local LTL and then a few more at short haul, home daily.

I have since emptied my nest and I am considering OTR Road warrior.

I like the K and B road warrior program with 8 weeks out and 10 to 12 days off but I would prefer a company that has terminals near major international airport hubs.

SUX is not a Major hub!

Yeah, I want to be a nomad trucker and fly to exotic destinations on my time off as I drive towards retirement.

Yes, I saw the bad reviews of K and B. I am looking for other options like their road warrior program. Preferably with large carriers, Decent benefits, 401k, yadda yadda.

I know Roehl used to have a lot of different home time options. Like 7 on 7 off. They have a terminal somewhere near Cincinnati. Might be woth a look.

I am currently in Florida, But I can relocate. I prefer west Coast or East Coast, Not central as there are more airport hubs. I do not plan to have a "Homebase" I will probably use my Sister's address in Florida for my lisence and pay her internet for a utility bill. Other than that I will be Nomadic. I have tanker endorsement, and a passport. Just want to put my head down and drive for a few weeks/ 2 months out and take a two weeks off and do it again. I will probably get Hazmat and doubles in the coming months as well but No experience with any endorsement. Just Flatland Florida driving through tropical storms and hot pavement. I only drove day cabs, dry van with lift gates, or swinf doors and limited reefer experience as well.

Seems a good plan. I also enjoy traveling a lot to overseas.
The 2 mos. out then 2 weeks off may be a problem for some companies. They don't want the truck to sit that long.

I looked into them in the past. pay was kind of low but seemed ok. I can understand them not wanting the truck to sit but 7 days isn't really enough time off for international travel you spend 1 to 2 whole days one way just traveling internationally. I'll check the temp service as well.
