That Goat sure makes the rounds! Is he pulling his weight on the truck? Reading the atlas, dealing with dispatch, etc?

He's been a bit blue but I think he's getting back on track.

We've decided at least that we don't hate this new job. Been getting ok miles and zero grief so far. Kind of a low bar, but it could turn out ok.

Lowering expectations can be a path of least resistance. I’m kinda sad to admit that.

I came here for the money, the lanes and the hometime. Plus, I didn't want to be micromanaged. If you draw a circle around the things that are 1 time only, no sign on bonus. Long wait for 1st check and possible foolishness over final check, then my only concern is how they treat me on a daily basis. The jury is still out, but who knows? As my daughter loves to say, "you can get happy in the same pants you got mad in." ")

Almost got the bills caught up. I've had a few ugly breakdown issues right out of the chute. Maybe just breaking in this brand new cascadia. I accumulated 36 hours total breakdown but not all at once. Policy is paid only if 24hrs but they had mercy and paid $75. Let's see. Someone help me with the math....
75/36... would you like fries with that?

Thought about you, today. Saw a couple WFX trucks going across 36 in Missouri. Then, got my left door blown off by one outside Springfield, IL. Eastbound and Down!

    Quick update.

One more Cali out and back then home for Christmas with the family.

WFX is a company without a heart. There are no goodies or attaboys for drivers. 100% a seat warmer to this outfit. But I came here to make money not friends.

That said, compared to other companies I see reviewed, this is a pretty good gig. I'm starting to be glad I endured the first 6 weeks of poverty hell catching up with held back first check and downtime because cascadias are junk. The money and miles are starting to flow and because I'm on the I-40 and below team I'm avoiding the worst weather...so far.
