I was apart of a CDL school and I loved it. This was the first thing I wanted to actually do in my life. But then instructors got sick.. They told us to go home one week we have to do roll call every day. The day they told us to go home early , half of us left and then we all got calls that we were supposed to do roll call. I was driving home they couldn’t reach me but they reached my wife so I called back and they clocked me in for roll call .. remember this .

The week of thanksgiving they said they still couldn’t find instructors because nobody wanted to drive down here then back up to where they were ..Understandable. When we got the text no one said for that week we had to keep coming up there everyday for roll call . Half of the class got dropped because no one else knew we had to do it either. And since it was a policy they dropped us ..needless to say, I was devastated. I had a job lined up and everything. I called anyone who would listen and couldn’t get back in. What do I do now?
That was the best and only school that was closest to me , I still want to get my CDL but I’m unemployed..What can I do ?

Sounds like a scam to me.
If it’s in contract they can do it, read contract.

    Where is your location?
Your state has the WIOA Program which pays for cdl school at no cost to you.
Depending on which state you live in, some trucking companies will pay you a weekly salary while attending their in-house cdl school. Those companies provide transportation to get to the school, then provide meals and lodging while attending the school.
Which company did you have the job lined up with?

I’d be more worried about how i was getting my money back that i put out for school in the first place. Then find a new school to go to.

Chinatown has already chimed in, talk to him & find a company sponsored school to attend.

How is it half the class knew about roll call and the other half didnt? Sounds like something is missing

Financial reasons. Roll call shows the class was there every day, even if they weren't.

Look at your contract or show it to someone who is qualified to give legal advice and find out exactly where you stand. How far along in school were you? Just starting? Half way through? Ready to graduate? This may make a difference. Good luck.

If WIOA funds were involved, they would HATE a call from the local workforce development board. I would call them.
