Steel Coil Live Unload On I-696 In Southfield,MI

Those looked like aluminum coils from the pics. Hauled in a Conestoga probably secured with a strap or 2. Used to watch guys haul those out of Indiana 8-9 on a trailer eye to the sky and use 1 strap each

 

I always wondered how many guys pulled that crap since it was hidden l.

 

I’ve seen guys slide the conestoga and never throw any chains or straps..morons

 

Oops!! Not surprised. Lots of Trucks around here. More and more DOT patrolling the area. Looks like someone was in a hurry. Usually the cause, one way or another.

 

I use to haul a lot of this stuff from a local steel plant.

Some guy loaded few years ago and never belly wrapped it, and must not have made sure they were tight together. As he went west on I-64 here in WV he lost the load in a curve at the 2nd exit from Kentucky.

Part of the load went over the bridge to the road below hitting a motorcycle, it killed the woman instantly from what I heard.

That’s one thing I never want on my conscience…..

These clowns pulling open deck and being sloppy and wreckless with their load securement are playing russian roulette with folks lives.

 

Those are galvanized steel coils.
