Nothing like running your butt off towards the end of the year, it's been a while since I put the miles in but I'm grateful for it. Started out my week heading up to Macon GA, dumped some glass and then headed over to Junction City to grab some gray granite, only problem was the loader man put the wrong material on me, and that wasn't brought to light until I was 30 miles away, so I had to turn around, dump out, reload, and do it all over again. As an old friend of mine says though, "no bubbles no troubles", wasn't the greatest way to start the week though.

Dumped out my granite Tuesday morning in Daytona Beach, and headed towards Orlando, loaded some zorba headed for Anniston, stretched my legs and made up there that evening and settled in for a stormy night, got pretty sketchy around 2AM. Got that out of the trailer with no issues Wednesday and bounced way over to Fayette AL to load some landscape size river rock, made it down to Madison FL that evening, and finished that load up Thursday morning back in Daytona.

After unloading my river rock, I trekked up to J-Ville and loaded cold patch which I unloaded in Arcadia yesterday morning, ran over to Sarasota and reloaded glass for Macon for Monday morning. Had to head back up to Ocala to get a few tires, which went quickly, so that's always good on a Friday. Hope everyone is good, I kept an eye out for you @NightWind but I missed you again, maybe next week.

    Stay safe everyone.

@Trashtrucker1707 Are you still moving to MO? If so when and where? Have you got a new job there? I have though many times about moving to TN or KY, but (sigh) once you get things paid for and your very established it's hard to move. I've been in this house 30 yrs.
Dang it. One of these days. Well here's my schedule next week, Birmingham, Calera, Montgomery, 2 times. Should hit Montgomery about 7ish. I think I sent you my number in a PM a long tome ago.
So I have been doing some maintenance that I was putting off and some that I just wanted done for my peace of mind. Got the cameras installed and working. Put the hard drive in the MDVR and it's working. Adding some more stainless and chrome, why I dunno except it's pretty LOL. Paid for with credit card points so I'm happy. Last new thing for a while will be my Brand New Jost 5th wheel! I am excited. Changing everything including the rails, so entirely new 5th wheel from top to bottom. I should change my name to MS Peterbilt as the truck gets all the money.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Ziva and I, well I AM tired of turkey, she loves it.

Yes, the goal is to end up in MO, either Cape Girardeau or Jackson, basically neighboring towns. Our house in Florida is on the market, but it seems things are softening up a bit down here so there hasn't been too much activity on it as of late. Basically, once the house here sells then we plan to go, I might try to stay on where I'm at for a while, there's a lot of rock that goes to MO out of the AL quarries, especially West Alabama Sand and Gravel, I've been with this company over 10 years so it might be worth while for me to see what they have to offer me once we move.

Yo! How’s all you dumpers and dumperettes doin? Busy in Kansas and salt is the name of the game. There’s a place we go to called KC Hides that deals with cow hides and they been getting a ton of it. It’s pretty surreal to back around their building and be lined with pallets of folded up and stacked cowhides. I got a break from that and did some salt barn dumping today. How’s everyone’s else?

Been winding down to the end of the year here, pretty slow but still working everyday. Typical end of the year nonsense for us, the first of the year will hopefully fire us back up again and get us moving. Happy holidays all, hope everyone is where they want to be for Christmas, and the company of family and friends surrounds you. 852E996B-A7A1-4009-A6A7-10959B09AB89.png

I used to haul hides like what you speak of on intermodal containers out of green bay. They and the facility stunk to high heaven and the process was so fresh that liquid would drain out of the bottom of the rear doors after you were loaded.

Oh yea “stunk to high heaven” is an understatement! We would pick em up with my former company out of upstate Iowa. Swing your bows over and they’d load you, then you walk over them squishing and slipping to get your bows back over and tarp. No matter how tight you got your load locks on your tailgate you’d be dripping all the way down to KC. Unroll the tarp and immediately that distinct smell of death would waft over the area, the we’d just dump em in front of a garage door on a pad, and they’d plop out. The trailer floor would be greasy for about the next 3 loads and you’d have a swarm of flies following you down the road. I made the mistake of one time bringing my ticket in for someone to sign cuz I didn’t see the mailbox out front to put bills in. I saw things that couldn’t be unseen, and my lunch went uneaten that day.
