Running 100 percent off of load boards will never support a new tractor payment.

Not sure why you say that. I am doing just that. On older truck I did the same thing when all the cost for fixing it came out to be a little more expensive. I only run 2-3 weeks max a month and make it just fine on spot market with a dry van. Stop taking these cheap loads and it can be done.

Yeah I don’t either. But I’m not going to argue it anymore either. lol

It’s always cheaper to run a new truck from my experience.

    1) I haven't used a loadboard in 10 years.
    2) A new tractor with warranty a extended warranty and a bank note will always be cheaper.
    3) Repair costs + downtime + cheap loadboard rates = A visit to the bankruptcy court.

The current crop of steering wheel holders pretending to be O/O's will soon be a distant memory and a lesson for others to aspiring to be O/O to have a bit of business experience first.

    * I apologize to those who have thin skin and that this post is not a rainbow, glitter and unicorn post. I am truly sorry for hurting anyone's feelings.

What if the image freezes for some reason!?! Camera sends digital data to re create an image with pixels on the screen. It is possible!

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

On a Peterbilt or KW you still have the factory mirrors, the only difference is there are two cameras per side down where the blind spot mirror normally is. So I guess if the image freezes on the screen you’d have to drive with only your big mirrors and no spot mirror.

Thank for sharing. I get it now. I’d have a hard time with the clutter. Starting to get stubborn how things are placed as I get older..
Man, all that tech must add up in $. You see that leather steering wheel with the buttons!

D.Tibbitt, Siinman, Feedman and 4 others Thank this.

Assembly line trucks will always be built hot and fast. What America needs is a custom build truck plant. Massive hole here. Many would pay 300k for a truck built to last 20 years. In fact the market for 2000-2005 trucks is massive, and the prices are going up on those. Need to combine that with aerodynamics, and we have a winner.

    dwells40 and ducnut Thank this.
