I do control my speed going down. I did hit 70 cause I was learning to use the engine break as my trainer was help me understand how the jack break works. All is good.
Is the safety policy for this company an over kill?

I would go find another outfit to drive for. Sounds like they distrust their drivers. And I’m sure if you do have an accident and even if you’re not at fault they will throw you under the bus.

I don't have a driver facing camera, but everything else is pretty much the same.
Learn the rules and abide by them and you will maintain a good safety score.
It does take a bit of patience on your part. And that is not a bad thing.
If you want to be a crazy driver, just find a company that does nothing to try and keep you safe.
