and he'll be back to work next week.
bryan21384 and JoeyJunk Thank this. -
They say the main contributor was the weather conditions…no the main contributor is stupidity behind the wheel..after all the moron was cited for driving too fast for conditions..
aussiejosh, OLDSKOOLERnWV, Northerntanker and 4 others Thank this. -
I'm sure it wasn't his fault. He knows how to drive in the snow and goes 70 all the time. You just have to hold 'er straight.
It was probably some durned four wheeler that was going slow causing him to have to step on his brakes and jackknife.bryan21384 and JoeyJunk Thank this. -
My question is why the hell the other vehicles were following so close....sure doofus started the chain but the morons behind him are just as much at fault for not leaving room. If you have snow and ice or freezeing whatever make sure that if the dude infront of you spins out you can stop....thats basic sense

Fog imo is the most dangerous thing to drive in. I’ve been through such dense fog that you just want to stop on the shoulder but you know it could end up a death sentence for someone. So what do you do? So bad in Iowa one night I dropped down to 45mph and still didn’t feel safe. Meanwhile traffic is just blowing by me doing the posted 70.
Seems like I’m toast no matter what I do..
Anyway, would be a great topic to start a thread about driving in Fog and dust storms..
Wondering if the first truck to wreck had his cruise control on?
And of course split speed limits probably didn’t help the situation either. -
When it’s said and done people weren’t driving/adapting to the changing weather conditions(herd mentality strikes again). I just dealt with heavy fog and icing conditions (33-32 degrees F)over the past two days from Madison,Wisconsin up to Manitowoc and then down to Effingham,Illinois. So far,no one has been in an accident yet,in spite of the traffic and road construction, especially along I-57!Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this.
