What makes me say that? Seriously???

You took down a pole and a set of wires. You caused property damage.

Yes, but shouldn't lines be an appropriate height so that if driver blows a tire or something is wrong with the truck they can pull over and not be in danger of getting stuck on low hanging lines. Like, how hard is it to put the lines 14' feet high?

That blows..won’t be able to pin it on the utility company.
I’d try getting your citation reduced to at least a less destructive charge.

“Careless operation” is what the LSP charged the driver with that rear ended me last week..
Not sure if that is any better than wreck less driving charge..

    MCribbs Thanks this.

I think the one big issue you might have that the poles were running parallel to the road and well off the road and that’s probably the reason for the ticket with the u turn causing it…I would at the very least try to get it reduced..but i think dismissing it is slim to none because of the circumstances

Yeah. I got in touch with a law service that handles CDL related stuff. Should be calling back sooner than later. I'll keep yall updated.

statuary height requirements on power/communication lines only apply to public traffic crossings. They don’t even apply to private crossings. So if the wires across your driveway at home are to low for you to get your truck into your own driveway, you can call and complain but they will charge you to raise the wires. There would however be nothing to require them to do so.

I doubt it was the height of the wires, I think your trailer swing clipped the pole and THEN the wire got caught on the roof

Not even close. I was no where near that pole. The lines were connected to the pole. As I pulled the lines the pole came with it.
