I gave Wylie a year of my life, 1 more day is one day too long. I know it will take time to transition to hauling their crap but I doubt it will be announced that "this is a Wylie load you are picking up", so I want out before we pull their 1st load.

And of the 2 companies (Wylie and Acklie) I hate Acklie much less than Wylie. I still hope the leadership of both share a special wing in Hell together though, after a long, slow, torturous, painful death.

Just wasted 20 minutes of my life watching the replay of this weeks live forum, and I want it back!!!! The one thing I got from the little useful information on there is....we aren't 'partnering' with Wylie, we are becoming part of E.W. Wylie...(Travis clearly said just that)...and the explanation of the $25m in capital wasn't exactly explained other than it is their yearly capital investment...but that investment, he said, is usually in the single digit millions, now they're suddenly quadrupling their capital investment? You don't do that unless some major change is gonna take place. The waste of time I was referring to was, there wasn't any kind of a hint of an estimate on how long this transition to Wylie is gonna take. Probably because they don't want a mass exodus, and based on a driver comment from the original video that Chubby grazed over, I am not the only driver here not pleased to be moving to Wylie (the one driver wanted to know who their new overlord was gonna be)...Daseke...ruining lives, one company at a time. I still stand by my prediction that there will be no SPD in existence within a year or two. It has been a long held belief that after Daseke became a publicly traded company that they were going to pair down their company numbers and conglomerate all their various small companies into a handful of larger specialized companies...

The overlord question came from one of the smart ##### in HR, not a driver. It was a joke.

Isn't it wonderful!!! It only keeps on getting better. Just don't sit around too long doing nothing or boredom will take over. Welcome to the retirement club.

According to their website, all the other flatbed companies they own are listed as entities under the daseke umbrella..moore isnt listed at all..which shows they absorbed moore into Wylie…the others are still running as their own..

My point exactly. Of the companies on their website...how many other than SPD and Wylie are 'partnered'? But, the former companies that are no longer on the list were partnered with another company before being folded in to their partner company...remember Builders Transport? Schilli? Moore? There was another Canadian company that Daseke owned that had something to do with the oil industry (which didn't fit with Daseke's business model because they weren't a freight hauling company)...and at one time, Big Freight (a Canadian company) was supposed to partner with We-lie, but that was prepandemic, so I don't know if that got put on hold or cancelled.

It looks like all of the specialized companies are on their own like bulldogs Lonestar, and spd

Wow. They are like the KAG of flatbed/specialized. I didn’t realize they owned all of those companies.

SSB, I agree with your sentiments concerning OD work. When I was at Keen I could give two shatz about hauling OD freight. Too much BS dealing with permitted routes, curfews, etc. Some guys get a raging boner hanging rags and flags, me I was content hauling legal loads on a step deck or double drop.
