I saw this today.

 

Yeah, the clock strikes 5 times at 5 o'clock.

That isn't what "5 bells" means, though.

"Five bells" means:

2:30am on the mid watch (12am-4am)

6:30am on the morning watch (4am-8am)

10:30am on the forenoon watch (8am-12pm)

2:30pm on the afternoon watch (12pm-4pm)

6:30pm on the evening watch (4pm-8pm)

10:30pm on the night watch (8pm-12am)
