All of it actually is pretty ridiculous.
CBD has no oversight from the FDA so they can put anything on the label that they feel like and they can make it however they feel like.
CBD can be wonderful for aches and pains and arthritis and stiffness and probably a host of other issues. So can marijuana itself.
I do not drink at all ever, I don't keep alcohol in my house, if someone asked me to have a drink with them I might do that but alcohol disgusts me. It amazes me that alcohol is legal with all of the number of lives that it has destroyed in so many ways. Not only is it incredibly addictive but if you drink enough alcohol it will actually kill you because it is poison. And then of course we have all the families it's destroyed all the people that have been killed drunk driving all of the people that got drunk and went into some kind of a rage... at this point in my life I don't even like to go out to bars or any of that because I don't care to be around people that are drinking that poison and acting like idiots because of it.
On the other hand, no one has ever died of a marijuana overdose. The actual difference between a healing plant that grows naturally from the Earth and this poison that is legal it's just a disgrace.
I get it it's the laws you've got to do what you've got to do but the reality of how it is versus how the government looks at it is mentally insane. And on top of that to have it as a schedule one drug along with Heroin and LSD is ridiculous.
But this is one industry that rules just continually get added, and nothing ever is deleted.
If I could find CBD that I was certain it didn't have any THC in it I would certainly take that.
Everyone please be safe in your Journeys. -

I think the weed thing is stupid but the problem is that there is no realistic way to test for impairment on the side of the road like there is with booze, so they have no choice (they feel) but to take a zero tolerance policy and waste a bunch of money and time randomly testing people.

Intoxication is a pretty interesting subject and certainly subjective in the sense of at what level is a normal baseline. In regards to operating a motor vehicle i would submit anything that stops you from operating that vehicle in a safe manner. If you apply that reasonable standard and it was your loved one laying in the roadway, bleeding out and does it really matter if your truck tboned their car and you only had two beers even though accidents certainly happen.
I witnessed a middle aged white woman, 135#'s, 5'10'ish cited for OWI 1st offense. In our state a municipal violation. Ambien. She didn't allow herself 8+ hours of rest. Intoxicated in EVERY sense and a true danger!
I witnessed a downtown hobo (transient person) known for his liquor store antics, grab&dash jelloshots (high abv) riding a mountain bike perfectly normal on a paved downtown walk and then humoring the officer i was with blowing a .32! Unreal! That poor hobo was a very skilled drunk indeed! -
FYI: As someone who takes a legal Delta 8 gummy to sleep from time to time, I needed more life insurance for an estate/professional situation I found myself in recently.
Luckily, I looked up what the insurance companies thought of THC before I applied and had an exam because you pay up to 40% more in premiums if you piss hot for THC during your exam.
