Okay, everyone. I'm asking this question for someone on the "Truck Stops
of Yesteryear" Facebook group. No one in the group seems to know the answer, so I figured
I'd come over to you good folks. Does anyone remember the truck stop on the south side of
Interstate 84 in Meridian, Idaho? The driver seems he remembers it was near where the Roaring
Falls Water Park is now, and possibly just west of where the Caterpillar factory is. Thanks for
    your help in advance!

If I remember right,it was at the corner of overland road and meridian road. Exit 44. I think it was an Arco station. Closed about 20 years ago.

I don't remember any truck stop ar the exit just west of Western States Cat. The Shell over the hill in Nampa is the only one that comes to mind.

Maybe the original poster on the group was mistaken about being west of the Cat place. Anyhow,
one of the exits in the area, he said. I do know there are a couple of vacant lots in the area south of the
interstate that could be the place. That area has really changed a lot in the past ten years.

I used to live in Meridian early 80's and don't remember a truck stop there. But I do remember Boise stage stop just east of Boise. Not sure if it's still there.

    Stage Stop is still there.

I’ve been running down around Boise since the late 90’s and I don’t remember anything between the TA on the east side and the truck stop in Nampa.

The Boise Stage Stop opened in 1891. Presumably, it had stagecoach service as the name suggests. That's how long it's been there.

It's from back in the days when CB radios only worked in Morse code.....
