Hello, I drive a 2005 ish T800 day cab, heavy spec. I am wondering how the truck ECM may communicate if at all with trailer ABS. The trailer ABS light located on the upper dash by the ceiling comes on when connected to a 2 year old MAC gravel train. The ABS light on the trailer is on as well, so I know that there is an issue on the trailer that also needs to get addressed. I'm just wondering if the two communicate at all. When I connect to a non ABS trailer the truck light goes out.
We did learn that the 30A fuse located in the truck fuse panel labeled "trailer hot line" is not connected through the center pin on the 7way. The center pin is powered by a the fuse labeled "trailer ABS", I can't remember for sure, but I think that is a 5A fuse.
I'm just basically curious if the truck brain is smart enough to sense trailer issues.

    Thanks!

Yes it is. Truck ECM communicate with trailer ABS thru central power wire.
