Hoping my bad luck is coming to an end here soon.

picked up truck and wasn’t complete. Yard sent me back to dealer. Go back to yard after the job was finished a second time and pre tripped my truck for the day and found the cap to the power steering reservoir was leaking and the cap just spun freely on the top. LOL

Guys at CB looked at it and was able to replace it as it’s not just a cap but when it breaks like that they have to cut and pry it off.

Grabbed a Kawasaki Load heading to the Greater ATL Area and rolled out.

Took an early 10 east of KC, Drive today and drop tomorrow.

    wish me luck lol

Quoting something from a year and a half ago as I'm still reading through the thread but...

I'm a Chiefs fan too. When i was young i remember watching Trent Green and Priest Holmes play for KC, and remember when they were #### after for the most part until Andy Reid came into town. You better not talk any smack about them to me otherwise we will throw down, as well as with BigR and McDaddy. LMAO

And about Mike, I have nothing but good things to say about him. A no bs recruiter that's very likeable. He called me yesterday just to check in, and we discussed when I wanted to start. Haven't called to tell him yet but I've decided to start on February 14th. That'll give me all the time I need to get my ducks in a row and update my medical card and stuff with the DMV when I go in to get my new one.

That DG dc in Blair BE just opened. The workers there are learning their jobs. I got there at 1120am for my noon appointment and left there 12 hours later. They had actually finished unloading after 4pm but never turned the light green and never called me to get my paperwork and they never took the gladhand lock off. I had fallen asleep. They opened just after Christmas I was told so everybody is just running like headless chickens. I give them 3-6 months to get it together but yesterday was a waste.

521C9B0D-1D15-4DB8-9BFC-394D4F61043B.jpeg This is why I’m always harping on proper post and pre trip inspections. Got the truck washed yesterday at the end of my shift, and was doing a post trip when I noticed this on my left front steer.

Might want to include a few “status checks” while you wait. I will routinely “touch base” prior to the two hour window and blame it on having to notify DM that I’ll be running beyond the nornal two hour load window. All nice like not trying to rush them, just checking in. Then around the 3-4 hour mark as well. Not being that #####y driver but just asking nice like.

You know the saying “watched pot never boils”… well, I go with the “watched trailer gets loaded”

but ya, if I were pushing up against my 11/14 I’d certainly take the opportunity to sleep on their lot if they let me. :)

Well that certainly doesn’t look good. Nice catch too. Hate to think what could have happened with the steer at road speed.

good reminder for all of us.
