Why are you taking it back now? You’re legal. I don’t know what you mean by tainted freight? Do you believe in ju ju and voodoo?

You do know that if the moron in the Durango gets into an accident, you can be dragged into a lawsuit.

    Siinman Thanks this.

Man this story is gripping. First off rate con weight is as real as unicorn farts. Almost every rate con I see now have in tiny little letters saying the weight is an estimate and no extra compensation will be given if it’s more. I’ve tried getting more money when it’s off by over 5k lbs but it almost never works.

Secondly, if I’m over 80k I go back to the shipper no matter what. I’m not risking #### for someone else’s greed.

TIRES BLOWN!?? the 8 duals on the drives and trailers are rated for between 42-46k depending on what you're running and the suspension is rated for 40k. 800lbs over 80k is literally nothing. You could make a phone call and be legal at 92k gross just by giving them some money if it wasn't a divisible load.

How do you figure that? I guess we're going to find out now though since the Durango was in an accident.

I’m pit stopped in Ellensburg. Yes, Durango only made it 4 miles and slammed into a civic. Civic slammed into a dry van semi. The woman in the civic is apparently ok. I made the broker and shipper sign their life away before the Durango could take any freight from the tow company. I, and the tow company both told the driver of the Durango he was nuts and would most likely not make it to the 90. “Just go park the freight somewhere and I’ll pick it up next week”. “Nope, bro, I’ve towed my truck on this trailer and it’s 10,000 lbs, I’m great.” Well, that went great. So the same tow company that unloaded me and loaded Durango is the same tow company that cleaned up the freeway. So they made all the money in this gig.
