So I worked with Super Ego (under Floyd Inc). I left once I saw them double brokering, skimming the rates, etc.

I emailed them to send me my 1099.

The crooks sent me a 1099 saying I made over $85,000. There is NO way under the sun that I made that amount as I was only there 6 months and most of that was negative statements.

What are my options? They won’t answer phone calls or emails anymore to correct it

    Thanks

I would imagine negative statements don't mean you didn't earn, just spent more than earned.

Do you seriously not know how much you made? O/O?

Your options are to keep track of what you are earning and spending. In 6 months you should be above 85k...this is how you get into tax trouble big time.

More importantly. Did you learn your lesson about working for a Chicago 1099 outfit?

I think the better question is whether he learned to be a better business man. One has to document better. On a side, note, the IRS don't really care what you took home. You're on the hook for taxes to your gross. They don't know or care what your net is. The best thing you can do is try to get as many deductions possible. You were there 6 months so you possibly went 1 quarter without paying taxes. Hopefully you kept all your receipts so you can legitimately write off expenses.

They kinda do care what your net is, but you have to tell them. That's what deductions are for.

You should be able to verify if it is correct or not from your accounting records. The records you’ll need when you file your taxes.

Not a trucker, but I got an incorrect 1099 a few years ago from a rental property. They added a zero to the rent I had recieved.

The issuer (in my case a property management company) had to provide a corrected 1099; may have even been a 1099-R.
