Being out of the Sumner terminal, you benefited in two points working in your favor:
    1. Sumner isn't one of the "politically crazy" terminals, it is somewhat out of the way, and it deals with a specific demand commodity. Heavy haul is it's main service.
    2. You were obviously a good employee, you worked with your DM, not at odds with, and you had a good record with a good DM...which is not generally the case with the Swift DM.

Congratulations on earning and taking a positive step in your future!

    Palazon Thanks this.

Again, Thanks for all the well wishes.

Just did my 1st day at the new job and I am gonna love this...

15 min commute (school zones), 1 hr lunch and home in time for dinner.. all with a $200 day. OK, I'm bragging... sorry:biggrin_25515::biggrin_25515:

Basically, this job is pre-tripping various military rigs (Humvee's to Freightliners) before shipping them out for missions. Also, we move them from company motor pools to ship points or repair shops. I'm getting lots of time on many different style rigs. The only bad thing is every one of them is an automatic:biggrin_25511:. Working with a great crew of guys! I haven't had this much fun at work in a long time!

Swift has HH in different regions. Here in the Pac NW, it means 105,500 trucks; maximum allowable for WA and OR states. That's a tractor with a drop axle and a 3 axle van with an extra drop axle. 12 tires on tractor and 14 on trailer. I used to call myself a 26 wheeler...:biggrin_2555:, or say I was a newbe so I had training wheels:biggrin_2559:. Trailer spread is not adjustable, so CAT scales are your friends.....
