Why is Swift the "whipping boy" of the industry?

Don't be taking any c.r.a.p. Nana! Like I told the gal driving a Swift in a snowstorm awhile back when heckled by a owner op... "You're doing just fine - ignore the jerk."

Besides, notarps is driven to heckle anyone driving for a company with more than 5 trucks!

Seriously......about a month ago, headed south on 15 south of cedar city UT (between cedar city and st george) we were in a lot of ice. All the trucks were running in the middle of the two lanes and some fool behind me started giving me flack because he wanted to go faster. (I was going as slow as all the others, I'm not stupid.....I don't pass a line of 20 trucks in an ice storm) Someone told be not to take it that I was doing fine. Was that YOU?

 

No... I was just getting out of a fine icy mess at the top of the hill before you get to the Pilot at Jamestown NM wb on I40 - end of last year I think. Swift was on the other side trying to keep from sliding off of the interstate with some jacka$$ owner-op giving her a hard time (two strikes there, ya know! Female and Swift!) about being in his way so he could run up the zipper strip. However, the sentiment is the same - the Swifties are doing just fine if they keep the round black rubber thingies down, and the freight gets to where it's going.

Kinda thinking they may not be so bad either. At least there moving freight and hiring drivers not telling them to turn there trucks in at the nearest dealership due to closing up shop, having there fuel cards turned off, there checks bouncing and having to find a way home from there ....with a big company like Swift your going to have issues PERIOD! They all them theirs just seem to stand out since they have more trucks!

It seems like you can find anything you want about any company you want.... Like the old saying " If you think you can or you can't.. your right"

I saw a post on the forum that said "Where the mind goes the body follows" and that is so true. Maybe Nana just has a great attitude, which it seems like she does, and realizes there are positive and negative things about anything in life ?

Im no expert by any means but it seems to me that by having more trucks on the road than anyone else everything would be multiplied. That includes incidents, accidents, people p-ing in public, idiots in the ranks and the list goes on and on...
