I may. Most of the transmissions around here are "D"s. They are running around 5k for a used one. I expect another 5k for labor. I've got a great mechanic, but I don't know if he's a great transmission programmer. lol Thanks for the info. Are you out of Chicago?

Now I know why I cant find anything on a ATO2612C. Because it's a ATO2512C. Numbers are important. lol

C line transmission are obsolete for Volvo now they are not producing them anymore, because of this they offered a programing option which is a TSB and any Volvo dealer should be able to program a D line trans to match your truck, The only difference between the two is the amount of teeth the main shaft speed sensor ring has not something that is replaceable C line has I think 30 and D line has 72 hence the better performance of transmission. I can run the programming even remote but I need someone with factory tech tool with programming capabilities. Probably a little tough to find in GA. If you need any more help let me know.

Thank y'all for the responses! Yes I've read and learned from several of nasriza's posts. He is very knowledgeable.
nasriza, I certainly wish you were a little bit closer. I have the utmost confidence in my mechanic, but he works on everything, and it's hard to be proficient in everything. There are C's still available in our area, I would think trying to find one of those locally would be the fastest/simplest route to take. How much better are the D's, compared to the C's? (other than being discontinued)
