ATO2612D VS AT2612D What is the Difference? Volvo I Shift Transmission

C's are usually more expensive because in my neck of the woods hard to find and almost very few people know about converting to a d line trans, I can have one rebuilt in chicago for around 7500 with a 2 yr warranty. D line i can do for less cuz i can ususally do those myself and just get parts from volvo.

 

Aside from expense, are the C's better or more durable than the D's? Or are the D's more durable? (I would think less teeth, mean bigger teeth, means stronger gears. but I don't know much about Volvo autos. (Although, I know much more than I did last year.) When talking about a few thousand dollars in parts versus a few thousand dollars of lost time and income while a truck is down... It all either balances out or gets flushed. lol (All we can do is try to stem the flow, by taking the best route we can find at the time.)
Also, side note... Your Zig Ziglar quote is one of my favorites of his. I truly believe it to be correct.

 

Same #### d is more responsive and a bit more advanced durability and all they r the same. Yes I believe it to be true as well one of the main reason I always try to find time for this site and help people out. I’ve build my whole business on favors from scratch so I truly believe this. It’s always about $$$ with people now people forget about help and networking.

 

On another side note I found u a perfectly good c line with higher torque rating no programming required just switch tecu for 3500 downside it’s close to my shop so I have to figure out a way to get it there if I want it.

 

I appreciate all the info, and the locate of the trans. There are a few down here for about a grand more, which balances out on the cost, in the long run.
I am waiting for another open spot at the shop, unfortunately our F650 blew a turbo Friday, and got the Volvo's spot. (When it rains, it pours.) At least it didn't happen two states away, it was in town.

Sir I have a

Sir I have a ATO2612D and it won't start out in
first second or 3rd automatically. I have to manually
place it in those gears. Could the transmission have been
set to start off in 4rth or 5th gear or is this just a bad transmission?

 

It was programmed to start like this just need to change parameter

 

Hey I need help ! I installed AT2612D transmission after removing ATO2612D. NEED SOMONE TO PROGRAM IT ! .

 

Can’t program it mechanically they r not the same
