Why do they think that operating a small business is as easy as buying overpriced equipment and depending on Fakebook, youtube and forums to "learn" how to run said business?

I’m going to start a new company called BYOT (Bring your own Truck) and lease newbie drivers and sit back and take in the money.
You thought Ego was bad, youse just wait.
65/35 and I’ll get them the loads from the board paying like $4k from NC to WA state.
They pay it all.
Then they’ll sit 3-4 days before i look for them another load.Condi, Another Canadian driver, Vampire and 6 others Thank this. -
Saw one the other day while i was eating something not out of a bag or can at the Lead Stomach oh im sorry iron skillet.....anyway. He got a himself a 2020 weeny truck from arrow truck sales. 720k miles and paid 82k for it. Asked him if he got it looked at before hand and he said no it ran fine and the dealer sold hin a good warranty for $15K too......
Said he got a good deal but that he had no idea why the red def light was on after a few days and showing a check engine light. But the truck ran fine so he was ignoreing it. He had also just put several thousand in chicken lights and chrome on and was bragging about getting a load from chicago to atlanta at $1300 flat with his shiny new rig. Asked him if he got a fuel surchage and he looked at me funny and asked what that was. So i told him he should take his rig to the shop too and have his emissions fixed and find out about fuel surcharges rates and minimum operateing costs and he told me it ran fine and he just paid cash for fuel so he got the best prices anyway so why would he waste his time and money.
I just finished my breakfast and left at that point. And sadly....ive met many like him who are likely going to end up a part of that 9 out of 10 fail the first year.Last edited: Feb 18, 2023

The key to success is to watch all the videos of the Prime lease drivers YouTube. They have it figured out. Don’t forget to use their driver code when applying.

For some odd reason I have always liked the spaghetti and chicken parm at the Skillet....
I have watched the Velos 18 guy with the black pete. He is pleasant and not full of himself but does not have a good grasp on picking the right loads.
