Check for valves on the fuel tanks. May be shut off not allowing return fuel to go into tank that the system draws fuel from. Also check that breathers are open on top of tanks. Could also have valves under cab on the part that distributes return fuel from the engine to the tanks.

Fuel Guage shouldn't matter, just know your fuel level till you get it fixed, DEF Guage will cause it to de rate if that one goes bad.

What if the DEF is deleted..

My 2012 Freight-liner Cascade will not stay crank .I have replace the fuel gage, replace the filters.I can run for about a 100 miles and it would shut down. When that happen I have to manually pump the fuel prime switch under the hood and it will run about another hundred miles or less and it shut down again. I will have to repeat the same process all over again. Anyone knows what is causing this problem?

It sounds like you have a suction leak in the fuel system causing air to enter. When you prime the hand pump it can overcome the the leak or bring enough fuel to get it to run in short bursts. Once the air overcomes you are losing prime. Going to take some clear lines or some pressure testing to sort the issue.

Is that something I can or should I take it to a shop.

I would take it in.
