Many people that answer the phone at shippers and receivers only know how to get to work and back . Sometimes they can't help you .

On the other hand the real negligent party is the shop that had the truck the 12 days . I'd e-mail the corporate office of the manufacturer of the truck and tell them if they don't reimburse you for your losses you will file suit in small claims court .
You should not have taken the truck without a DVIR signed off by the shop . Having one would help you . Not having one hurts you . That is another violation you are guilty of .JustSonny Thanks this. -
Swift has a policy that the mechanics, or any shop personnel, will not sign off on any DVIR..Swifts version of a DVIR is a very small insignificant portion at the bottom of their logs...not even enough room to leave explanation fo what is wrong. shop has you fill out a "long form" to discourage drivers from getting things taken care of properly, and to reduce the need for maintaining any paper trail on incidents in the shops.
You know that little white speck on the top of chicken s__t(?) yep its still chicken S__T!JustSonny Thanks this. -

A long long time ago there was a thread somewhere here about the new Gilbarco Pee N Pump. I noted they could always add an adapter for us ladies as I was sure the men wouldn't mind. I was assured by many that they wouldn't mind at all and one even volunteered to assist in any way possible.
In short, it was a joke.JustSonny Thanks this. -
But since you are not, I {finally} see the joke.1nonly Thanks this.
