    Hey all
Yesterday I was involved in a crash with a 4 wheeler. The car got whooped. I found a 12 pack bud light in the passenger seat!
the driver ran away by the time I was able to move my truck few feet away from blocking the road and the busy intersection and managed to call 911 and my company.

he ignored I had the green light, with the oncoming traffic he made a left turn in front of me and there was no way for me to stop doing 25-30mph in 10-20 feet.

car was totaled but the dude fled the scene (I guess to avoid a DUI charge)

City and state police showed up.
I got a clean level 2 inspection and the city cops gave me something called “exchange of information”.

I wonder if this will affect my driving record. I didn’t ask them anything apart from the instructions I was given (I don’t like asking the police anything)

this happened in a town 10 miles or so south of Yakima, Washington on US-97.

Will my CDL record be affected?

My truck only had dents on the deer guard. No injuries on either party. If dude was able to flee that’s for sure he would want injured. I spun his car twice.
First time I have an accident and first time with a drunk driver.

Your driving record will simply show an accident. Probably not who's at fault. Get a copy of the accident report so you can show it to anyone questioning the accident. Like future employers

Other than the exchange of information paperwork, did you receive any other paperwork, like a DOT inspection form. Be careful posting information about accidents on social media

Did you take pictures of the accident?

You have to take pictures lf the accident no matter what.

This can show the person can't make a claim against you if they decide to sue you because you are a truck driver.
