Long shot, but no sense in not using the hive mind here.

    Looking for Older kenworth 1990-2000
    Prefer t600, t800, w9s are okay
Midroof preferred, flat top ok, sleeper a must

Engine 3406e, 1lw prefered, other serials ok, no c15

    Prefer 13 or 18 speed
    Rears 3.36 to 3.70s
    Prefer tall 22.5s

    Truck must run and drive.

    $ range 15-30k

My existing t600 is still running, just looking for a second truck so i can maintain uptime for when i tackle some larger jobs/put it in a shop.

Having read some other peoples tales of habing things purchased out from underneath them after putting a deposit down, not until the full sale actually goes through (tomorrow). Goal is pick it up on monday or tuesday and im sure ill have a thread on that truck for what im doing basically all of next week (may tagalong my t600 remodel thread, which i may as well get renamed to "skallagrime's occasionally excellent adventures")

Deal went through, picking up monday.

Its fine, nothing special dealer was asking 25k

6ts cat with 475 hp. Nearly 0 blowby, ive seen more on a fresh rebuild.
Supposedly rebuilt 250k/7 years ago, but no paperwork. Was a local home daily truck delivering lumber around evansville. I beleive the rebuild at 250k, but its not worth anything technically since theres no warranty even if i had paperwork

Rockwell rmx9 (9 speed transmission, .72 final overdrive)
    3.73 rockwell rears
Interaxle diff lock only, not full lockers
Low pro 22.5s on alum outers, steel inners, new steers, 50% no-name tires, but should last till june (if not ill just steal my good toyo set of drives from other truck)
Ac even works, blower not great
    30" "flat roof sleeper"
    Twin 120 gal tanks.
Terrible paint job, but cant tell till 10 foot away.

Bunch of annoyances, things i need to fix, change to make me happy, but its probably worth what im paying and can easily pay for itself in less overall downtime within a year (this will be 2nd truck for me, other is running, but needs a few things that i cant/wont do myself, and those things will take time at a shop, this way i can maintain revenue)

$25k for a runable truck in decent condition? Sounds like a good deal, hope it left enough in the checkbook to cover the inevitable bugs that are going to show themselves. Whats the overall mileage? Keep us updated on how it treats you.

Its a kw with the xxx,xxx odometer so it SHOWS 700k, but id have to guess it either sat a TON, or its nearer 1.7 mill

But the frame is in good shape, mine has probably close to 2.5 mill on it and it has less than 1/4 the rust jacking, so it COULD actually be accurate.

    Also, i said 25k ASKING...
