Huh? The tenant pays rent to the landlord otherwise they would not be a tenant.

If you don't like my opinion, then don't read it.

OK, apparently you can't read. What part of "FREE APARTMENT" did you not understand?

The tenant is being paid with an apartment, it is not 'free'.

They are paying for the apartment with their work. It would not be free.

Yes, the tenant is BEING PAID, not PAYING.

It has nothing to do with you. The opinion you stated exists whether you do or not. Don't take it personally.

The tenant in your scenario is paying part of their salary back as rent. That is how the law looks at it.

There is 'never' free rent in that scenario. By law, it is is a 'wage credit'.

Credit towards Wages under Section 3(m) Questions and Answers

Once the wage credit is established, then a traditional landlord/tenant relationship occurs.

By law, one cannot legally use a truck as an address. Cameras in an apartment would be wrong, cameras is a truck are perfectly legal.
