And what about Swift? Did you burn bridges with them? Yes there are a lot of bad stories about them, but a lot of successes as well as long as you give it your all...

Do some reading here about it...There are a few members hear that have done really well...remember you only get out of a company wht you put into it...get a job drivng...anywhere...give it all you have for one year...do some research in the good and bad companiess ection here, and apply to ALL the good ones (don't put all you eggs in one basket) Remember when reading that you have to to weed out the whiners, and you REALLY have to WANT to be a driver...
Keep us posted!javaughn2000 Thanks this. -

Didn't mean to imply that you didn't try to stick it out. Really. I'm just telling what I think you need to do now. What is done is over with, put it behind you and move on.
You are always going to have the bad with the good. Sometimes you just have to suck it up and live with it for a while. I know this is easier to say, than it is to do. -
At least you gave it a go. I've been talking with a CRST recruiter myself (about the only carrier that will consider me with my lapse in driving time). I hope everything works out for you and hope that my own experience is nothing like yours.

In my opinion.. You hear a lot of bad about SWIFT because SWIFT has put a lot of new drivers on the road. The majority of the people that talk bad about SWIFT are the ones that SWIFT helped get there CDLs and on the road. Its kinda like the graduate theory. They used them for what they needed then moved onto better companies. So know in there minds SWIFT is below them and anyone who drives for them is below them. Think about it this way. As you moved on in your educational life you never cheered for your grade school while you were in Jr High, and you never cheered for your Jr High school while in High School and so on. People Make fun of SWIFT and know nothing about them. I for one have never driven for SWIFT but you see there trucks every where so they must be doing something right.
If you can get back on with SWIFT I would suggest doing so. Think about it this way. Worst case you have to hang it out 6 months. Even in those 6 months if your not making any money you have to stick it out. Even if your nat making money your getting recorded experience, and honestly HOW MUCH IS THAT WORTH? WHo cares what everyone else is saying.. Go back to swift with a positive attitude knowing no matter what you are going to suck it up and deal with whatever comes along for atleast 6 mo and I promise you, you will be fine my friend. You would be suprised at just how fast 6 months will go. Think about it. What were you doing just 6 months ago? does it seem like 6 mo have passed?
Good luck to you

Oh and just for the record. Im returning to driving with a 3 year break. I have over ten years behind the wheel but trucking is all about " what have you done for me lately" Any way my point is: Conway welcomed me back with open arms. They are a huge team co so if you like to team Im sure they would love to have you. Even as a solo its worth a call. If you do let me know I would love the refral bucks!! Good luck
