I watched a video from a TMC driver who said that they get a nasty-gram from their op's manager if they have gone more than 2 weeks without a truck wash.

Maverick was the same way, every 15th day, after 20 they quit dispatching you unless you have a valid reason. They had washes at two of their terminals which helped, but getting a wash in a rain storm to reset your clock was the easiest way to avoid a line.

Over here we're allowed 2 a month, one by the 15th and the 2nd before the end of the month, but they don't say boo about you not washing it. My truck had clods of WY winter road mix and I was planning on hitting the Twin Falls beacon until I saw the forecast where I was gonna be driving and the rains in OR did almost as good of a job as the beacon does. At Creaffer you were allowed 1 every 45 days, and most of the truck wash facilities that some of the terminals had were shut down, so it was obvious they didn't care how their equipment looked. I kept the part where I lived clean, but hardly ever had anything more than a trailer washout done at a beacon...if they didn't care how their truck looked, why should I.

Unless it's changed ( and I doubt it ) company drivers can get a wash every 30 days on the road, they have accounts at blue beacon and I believe Iowa 80 truck wash too. There's a macro on the qualcomm for a truck wash po request, send that, it's an automated system if you haven't had one In 30 days it'll automatically send you a po# just put that info on your transflo sheet and scan in the receipt with your paperwork. If it's been sooner than 30 days the system will reject it, but if you let your dm know they can override it and get you a PO#, I've never heard of them complaining about anyone washing too often lol, same goes for not washing, I guess they figure you are living in it, they'll let you decide how clean you want to be. The one at the Fremont shop does a great job but it's hard to get into, I think they Close around 5pm, and they're usually several trucks lined up, best bet there is request it when you're getting an oil change or something and are on a 10 or 34 with time to kill

Shouldn't be a problem getting reimbursed, just make sure you enter the appropriate info on the bottom of your transflo sheet, and scan the receipt in with your paperwork. But in the future it'll be a lot easier for you if you send the truck wash po request macro.

Nestle in Crete is behind again, waited 3 1/2 hours for a load to be finished that was supposed to be preloaded yesterday! Ugh, shipping lady said they were running 20 hours behind. Oh well, split my hours so I didn't lose any drive time, had a 7am live unload in Omaha this morning, so I left the house at 10pm last night, so it didn't hurt my feelings to take a nap for a couple hours lol. Not rolling till 12:30 tonight, a little more normal lol. Heading down to Plainview, TX. Then I'll reload in Amarillo, TX and drop that on the CB yard. Glad to stay off I-35 for a couple days.

The boys at CB fixed a mudflap that was missing a couple bolts and found a low but not completely flat drive tire that I somehow never caught the past couple days. Also some funky wiring to the rear drive axle temperature sensor is what's causing my CEL to randomly go on and off. Will need more shop time in the morning.

There is also an account to use Little Sisters Truck washes in So. Cal. A place that actually hand dries most of your truck!
