Looking #### good @AModelCat. I might currently ride a Harley, but I've had 6 Hondas and love the vintage Hondas. Plus your learning. If it gets wrecked, or you decide you don't like riding, your not financially ruined. Good choice.

Gotta be over 70 cars here. Everything from original, unrestored classics to high end custom builds probably north of $100k.

Looking good. Seems you got yourself a good deal on that one. Do notice one thing, looks like the head pipes are a tad discolored. Usually that is an indication of a fuel problem. Might be a bit out of adjustment. Know you said a full rebuild of the carbs is planned for the winter, probably a good idea.

The shop you have been working with, do they have a gas analyzer?
If they do, next spring, after the planned repairs, have them fine tune the carbs with the analyzer.
You would be surprised how that little thing can make a difference.

It was run lean for a while before I bought it due to the pilot jets being plugged off in both carbs, one carb incorrectly assembled and wrong spark plugs. Its running great now and plugs look good after a few hours run time.

They all blued, not the best chrome back then. Recently spoke with a Triumph executive. They were installing a chrome stainless with fuel injecton, the pipes didn't blue, had so many complaints that the new bikes didn't blue, they went back to the old steel chrome. People wanted them to blue like the vintage Triumphs. I'm not a fan of exhaust changing colors, just the story I was told.
