Like the title says a Normandin driver from canada hit my truck. I wouldn't have known until later had the driver not told me that he did it. We exchanged info, company wanted a police report so the police were called. He had a disposible camera and took a picture or two. He told me that his company would call me the next morning... well no phone call.. i wait til monday and call. They say they dont know anything about it. wanted to know if a report was taken and if pictures had been taken. I explained it to them and they said they would have to talk to their driver and wanted me to fax them the estimate to fix. I call back again today they still had not talked to the driver. I told them i had some pics on my cell and would send them via email. I called to confirm they recieved it and they say it doesn't look like it was that much damage as what the estimate was for. Basically ... What should I do and advice will be appreciated

Ok well its been almost a month now and I haven't gotten much further with getting my truck fixed. They keep saying that they will call me back and never do. What would be the best way to go about getting this resolved?

You are so seriously screwed. I had a canadian truck rear end me a few years ago and all they would do is give me a run around.
They went so far during one conversasion as to say that only had to pay based on canadian money value based on the rate of exchange on the day of the accident.
The problem is that in canada the insurance is socialized (all government run).
I was dealing with the insurance company directly because the trucking company would never return calls.
Ended up getting a attorney and it took 2 1/2 years to get any money out of them. Of course this was a 8 vehicle pile up caused by the canaidan truck.
With just your single truck incident it should be quicker.
You should probally get an attorney to collect down time, and out of pocket expenses along with your deductible.
Turn it in to your insurace co. get an attorney. -
Only some provinces have government run insurance, most are private.
I agree that so far, the OP is getting the runaround... time to involve the police and YOUR insurance company.bulldozerbert Thanks this. -
well supposedly they are sending a check out so now i am just waiting to see if i get it.

I would get with FMCSA they are suppose to pull their US priviledges, if you have the proof. File a complaint. Or better yet just tell the company you are going to report it if it ain't settled, that you have did all you can to get it settled.
