FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

631 productive miles today. Made it to a small Love's about an hour west of Wichita on 54/400. I will drop in KCMO about 7 or 8 tomorrow morning. Still only have a little over 1400 miles for the week, no thanks to a certain shipper. My truck is also due for its routine service plus nagging APU issues. Feels like another week where I'll need to work Saturday.

 

That shipper in prewitt.. I went in there approximately 10 years ago and the Barney fife security guard decided he thought he was more important than everybody else on earth when I checked in and everything appeared to be good, he turned around and told me he wasn’t let me in, so that’s when I informed them that OK I’m just gonna notify dispatch of the issue going on and that clown did not like that got up and confronted me and when I told them that I wasn’t going to put up with that kind of behavior for absolutely no reason at all, his supervisor went to own holster his gun… That’s when I filed a formal complaint and I am haven’t been back cents it was G4S security

 

Dang it you're at the Love's in Cunningham. I was gonna shut down there today... that is if a certain shipper hadn't screwed up my hours, be there too late tonight and I know it'll be full. So I guess I'll shut down earlier at one of the old ma&pa places

It’s all good. I watered them again. Trimmed the weeds growing up around them too.

 

So, my truck was supposed to be ready Tuesday morning. So I came back to the Greater Omaha Area and swung my KW to just check in. One more thing to do and a Test Drive. Maybe early afternoon. Ok.

But, during test drive they discovered that I still didn’t have brakes. (I hear those are important or something) so they took it back in. Should be ready first thing Wednesday morning.

This morning came and I guess what was really wrong on the brakes was another valve, which is on order.

So Matthew asked if I wanted to fly to DFW and rescue a Truck. Well, sure, might as well.

So tonight am setting at Eppley Airfield waiting to go grab a flight.

setting here and I thought, DANG IT… I didn’t ask if it was a manual or auto… (I did test and pass in a manual but that was in 2015 and absolutely no on road experience in one so that might be interesting.)

sent message to DM and he said it was Auto. Tomorrow I’ll find out if he is having a good laugh at me right now… LOL

Well, a simple 2 hour flight from Omaha to DFW… took only 5 hours. So grabbed bag and now it’s almost 2am and I’m finally on my way to the Hotel.
