So which bill board, at the top of which on ramp, are you gonna hide tonight?

We will send Max down to defend the truckers you shoot in the back with your radar gun!

Better not tell me...that could be entrapment!:biggrin_255:

Max7, You should be a politician with those long winded speeches, you must be from Texas.:biggrin_255: Speeding is going 1 MPH over the posted speed limit and if you dont believe it go to OK and go 1 MPH over the limit in front of that black cop on the Indian Nation Turnpike.

Uh....Speeding is going faster than the posted limit.
There is no reason to speed that I can see...The speed limit these days are pretty high in most states and if I'm in a backwardassed state like California, Oregon or some others, I just set my C/C at about 58 and relax.

Your definition of entrapment is ridiculous and I agree with the others on here that think you're one of those "World Famous Truckstop Lawyers" That has no clue what he's talking about.

Hurry! Call the Federal Marshalls...That cop's runnin' a speed trap!

Utah now even has a few test spots up to 80mph even for trucks.

As to the OP I consider speeding anything 5mph or more over the posted limit. When police men hide behind billboards or overpasses or what ever, Whats so bad about it? You call it entrapment, I call it trying to avoid the halo effect. And like others have said, if you dont want a ticket dont speed. I have never goten a speeding ticket (in my profesional carrer, I did get one way back in highschool). Although a couple years ago in WA, I got pulled over for doing 63 in a 60. He was just having a bad day I think. Becouse when he jumped up into my truck he began talking very aggresivily about how he does not mind pulling us truck drivers over any time. And how unsafe bla bla bla. He ended up going threw my log book, and paperwork. And was unable to find anything wrong with those. He ended up giving me a writen speed warning. It was not a ticket or violation. Not even saying that I was speeding, just a speed warning. It was not even somthing that I had to fill out and send in to my company or send back to them. I asked him whats more dangerous, me going 3mph hours over the speed limit, Or me driving on the road for 30 miinutes? And of course he answered the obvious answer driving on the road for 30 minutes. At which I responed, In a 10 hour day (this was when it was still 10 hours), 3mph over the limit amounts to 30 minutes off my total driving time.

Technically now Im supposed to say Im a citizen of Europe. :biggrin_25511: and youre mixing youre nationalities and measurements as we still run in miles (imperial measurements) my colonial cousin although having driven on the mainland im used to kilometers (metric) and they teach both in our schools these days.

Thats why i can tell you the poster who said 57mph was 80 kph is wrong. 80 kph is 50 mph and 57 mph is nearer 91 kph.

I would like to apologise if I came across as sensible. I forgot my medication yesterday.

Off to bed now ive got nine hours off before I have 52,911 llbs (24,000 kgs) of canned beer to collect in Cardiff, Wales at 3am and deliver to East London at 8am.

I have been pulled over for speeding, not in my truck, but in my car or on my bike and the officer let me off with a warning.... I don't have one of those bill folds like your son has, nor did I drop any names... I just did as the officer asked, treated him with respect and was treated with respect...
I know here in the midwest we have had a few times where an officer pulled someone over for speeding and it turned into a major drug bust... We have also had a couple of fugitives caught by being pulled over for speeding... We just recently had one where a guy got pulled over for having a headlight out... turned out he had warrants out for him for rape and assult charges, he was arrested and taken off the streets..

I do respect what our LEO's do... They don't know when they pull someone over if that person has a gun, is on the run, or whatever... or someone like me, no gun, no drugs, just speeding...

I hope they don't stop pulling me over for speeding... because that would mean they also aren't pulling over the others as well...
