Have you ever worked with Schneider or Werner? or known anyone that worked through them?

I started out in the 34 cpm range. Listen to Chinatown, I’m only making .58 cpm now, but gross 18-2300 weekly Mon-Fri. No some drivers from previous company that make .65 cpm, but make well over 6 figures with accessory pay.

That company is no longer in business.
Then went to ProCraft hauling fishing boats, running 48 states.
Was fired.
Went to YRC Logistics refrigerated division; non-union. That's when my pay really jumped. Ran 48 states & Canada. Was offered local, but turned that down because I like running the roads.
Some reefer company bought YRC Logistics and absorbed it into their reefer company.
Decided to try something different, so hired on with a hazmat tanker company running 48 states and Canada. Pay was a lot better. I had all the endorsements, which I acquired during cdl school, so there were no hurdles moving into hazmat tankers.Last edited: Oct 27, 2023

At Schneider or Werner...
The pay can vary considerably, based on:
- The type of freight pulled
- Your experience level as a driver
- Where the freight is ran
- The customer/account in question
- Whether the freight includes hazmat--or not
- I've probably left out something else
That's no real reason to exclude them -- especially if you are a new(er) driver.
