Took less than 2 hours to get the tire changed. After waiting a little bit longer to get my 2 hours for a split break, took off and whipped the horse all the way to Indiana. Parked at the house with 1 minute left on the clock. Didn’t run as hard yesterday, shut down in Breezewood. Waiting to go in a door at a grocery warehouse in York, PA.
Still don’t know what I am doing next. Definitely don’t have pre plans near as much as I expected coming in.
Don’t know how everyone defines Northeast, I’ve been to New Jersey and Pennsylvania 3 or 4 times in the 3 months I’ve been here. I’ve never been in a hurry to come back.

You do realize your phone is constantly being tracked anyway right. If the government wanted to know where Chris Davis is currently at all they have to do is push button. So to me the whole I’m not downloading a “tracking app” is a mute point.

Government is one thing, but a private business entity does not need to track me.. especially on a device that I pay for…that’s the point we’re making

I always tell them that I will download the tracker if they don’t call me ever! First call, I delete the tracker.
We are tracked by MANY private companies already. (Google, Apple, your phone provider, etc) To me, who cares. Just don’t call me. Just my opinion

luckily, I do very few broker loads in a year… NONE in 2023 yet

I guess I am lucky. Five years here and only two trips to the northeast and I live in Northeast NC about 75 minutes from the VA border and my old hometown of Hampton Roads. I am surprised I am not sent more to the Northeast. Not looking to go all the time, but I worked for Cargo Transporters and ran the NE all the time and except for Friday's in the summertime, no big deal. Glad to be doing my so call "dedicated" NC to KC or Chicagoland area runs. Couldn't make it to the banquet. Was running an Illinois to Fremont but didn't reach the yard until Saturday morning. Then back to Four Oaks and over to Brown's Summit (Greensboro) going to Eau Claire WI for Thurs or Fri. Betting on Crete load from there and then a Four Oaks home for Thanksgiving. Deuces!

And your phone doesn't have to be on anymore to be tracked.

I completely understand that, but that is not the point. The point is that we’re already tracked by our carriers. All companies have GPS tracked trailers and what not. Plus the whole ELD factor. If you’re that worried about your freight, put your own tracker in the trailer, it’s really that simple. Then again, if you’re that worried, maybe you should find some more reputable clientele. Plus there’s a major difference between the government and load brokers. Plus what happens when they have a driver that only has a simple flip phone as their main phone? Because I know some people still have those. I’d love to hear their response.
