Ugh! You'd think a decomposing body would emit a very detectable odor... :biggrin_2554:

YUKK! How could this have happened? I guess 20/20 was right when they did that report a few years ago about how dirty motel/hotel rooms really are.

I think, or hope that they have the title of this article wrong, and that her body was in the space underneath the box spring. If she was under the mattress, it would be above the box spring, and unless she was as skinny as a sheet of paper, would have made a very lumpy night's sleep!

Guest to motel clerk: "Um... Yes ma'am, do you have any other rooms available? It smells like someone died in that room."

Motel\Quicki Mart clerk: "You must apply this Glade for your enjoyment of room air. {Pssssssst} See? Is good, no?"

Just let's ya know how well some HO-tel (and no, that's not a misspell) chains have their rooms cleaned!!!

My husband thinks I'm nuts, when I carry into a hotel room cleaning supplies, our own sheets, blankets, and pillows, strip the bed/s, clean and turn over the mattresses, check for bed bugs, roaches, and other nastiness, and COMMENCE TO CLEANING...
BEFORE I will "settle in" for a night off the road!!!

BUT, I'm NOT CRAZY, I tell you!! This is basic self-protection!!! LOL

P.S. If it smells like something died in your room, it's best to "just say no!!" to that room/hotel...regardless of what the non-English speaking owner tells ya about an air freshener!!!

That's enough to make you never wanna stay at a hotel/motel ever again.
In looking at the pictures I am not sure that woman was so thin that she should have gone unnoticed under a bed, not to mention there should have been a smell in just a day or two. The fact that the people running the place wouldn't let her sister in the room raises some suspicion as well. Maybe someone working there had a hand in this.
