    You are joking, right?

Look they know about the guy, a gazillion complaints won't get the enforcement bureau off their ******, you need to ask the question to the guys at the top.

So you can craft an email asking these people why is he still allowed to operate and why aren't enforcement shutting him down. You can also add a copy to your representative and senators in Congress just to add more validity to the issue.

Here are the emails to the Chairman and the commissioners who are the bosses ... Oh and the Enforcement bureau chief. Remember in this country we have something called an open-door policy.

Well if this was 1980, I would agree with you but it seems that the feds here don't bother with people unless there is a really egregious breaking of regulations. In many cases, it is like those who borrow power from the poles, in a near-collapsed house in an Urban setting using a simple radio but running 20kw (Bird watts lol) which makes the toasters four blocks away talk and walk around (the last part is very true). This is what they are going to go after.

Well I worked on an amp back in around 1990, it was a messy POS amp put together by some clown who is "famous" now for making large amps. I had fixed the issues on it after a few weeks when he first got it installed, it put out maybe 11kw when I got done with it, it came up to 27kw.

The guy was serious about being number one in the city, his wife would not allow any CB in the house so he bought a house in an area of Detroit just off of Woodward and Six just to make it his radio HQ. It was in a place where they had torn down almost all houses on the block and the block behind this house. Just wasteland. He had paid some lineman he knew at Edison to make sure the drop lines were all live and the guy bought these huge 400 amp 1000 volt fuses to jump the box where the meter was removed, which he put the things in with a pair of channel locks no gloves and in the rain. With 220 coming into the house, he had wired the amp power supply up by some electrician, and the amp was put in place.

Now this was one of the dirtiest amps I ever worked on, it would make the speakers in my car talk. I knew someone a few blocks away who got really upset when her toaster talked to her, as he keyed down one morning. She knew who it was and called him up to tell him to shut up. She called me a few nights later when she could not watch TV and told me to call him to see if I could help. I think for a good half mile around the house, no one could watch TV.

Well I did fix it, the input circuit was a mess, the shielding was non-existent and the coax to the antenna was ten pieces of some junk he bought for his mobile and got so hot that the insulation melted.

It took me a week of working on it each night for a couple of hours to get it straight, once every amp in line was tuned, and the big amp was tuned right, it all sounded great.

The toaster stopped talking, TVs for miles around were now safe to watch and the guy was so happy that the amp had more than double the output. He would key down, and just tear up 6, the lights would dim when it hit peak wattage and he had a smile on his face as I did with the money he handed me.

He had this running for a few years before Edison caught up with him, there is a dispute about how this happened but I think it was the guy he knew at Edison collecting a reward. Without electricity, he wasn't on the air, he actually went out and bought a generator with a 50kw capacity but someone liked it more than he did and just took it out of the driveway one day when he was away from the house.

I love reading/hearing stories like that, but doing that type of thing myself doesn't interest me. Oh, I've run amps and it is fun to shoot a little skip now and then and see how far you can reach. But you won't ever find me on channel 6. To me, the fun days of CB was back in the 70s, getting on at night with all the locals and "chewing the fat" and telling tall tales. If I ever get my station up and running, there will be days I can hang with the channel 6 crowd, but I don't really speak their "lingo" and it just ain't "my thang".

Okay guys, I think I came up with the answer to our fine tune problem. The answer is CTCSS/DCS PL tones. President has come up with the Harrison FCC AM/FM cb radio. For those who don't know, the PL tone keeps the annoying signals out of your radios receiver, unless they have the same PL tone set up in their radio. So you can setup Groups, IE. truckers only to talk to you on channel 19.

    What is CTCSS / DCS?

There will be a few steps needed before this can happen.

    1. All truckers need to sell their over priced Stryker fine tune radio, and buy a President Harrison radio. With all the extra $$$ in your pocket, you can eat at the Flying J's buffet for at least 6 months.
    2. A universal PL tone will need to be decided on for truckers only. The only way a person can get this special PL tone programmed into the radio, will be for that person to present their CDL license as proof that they are a truck driver. Of course this Harrison cb radio will have to be ordered directly through the President company. The FCC will have to be notified by the President company if (if Mr. Fine Tune would happen to have a CDL), these type of people won't be able to purchase said such cb radio, or denied the special truckers PL tone.
    3. It will take some one trust worthy and experienced like Ridgeline, due to his cogency personality to talk to the President radio company and explain that he is operating on the truckers behalf. It's a matter of emotional stability for all truck drivers safety everywhere.
    4. If all this fails, at least I've tried to do my part to keep our airwaves safe.... 10-4 and 73.
