I don't understand this "Dealer markup" scheme. I live in Texas and almost every dealer around DFW have brand new vehicles $5 thousand to $10 thousand off MSRP. Cash back offers, and Zero to 2.9% financing offers.

So I’ve been looking at used 2022-2023 Frontier King Cab models-some of them have been running from $23K to $33K. Most of them have anywhere from 3300 to 17K miles on them.

    i watch videos from https://www.youtube.com/@scottykilmer

a long time mechanic and i trust many things he reports on. he said in one of his videos, that the nissan frontier is as good as a tacoma, and a wee bit cheaper, and under rated

Yup. The only downside to the current generation of the Frontier is that you can’t get it with a manual transmission and the V6 is a GDI(gasoline direct injection), which means expect to do walnut blasting on the valves at some point to get rid of carbon buildup. But other than that, it’s pretty good for what it is.

The only pickup trucks in our market now that offer a manual is the Jeep Gladiator and the Toyota Tacoma, but with the new Tacoma it’s only available on certain configurations(mostly,if not all of them Double Cab-4 door) and you can’t get it with the XtraCab(extended cab replacement for the Access Cab). Even then Tacoma prices are expected to go up to $50K!!
