Yeah, that's what I'm thinking I'm gonna have to do, I have my Tanker and Double/Tripple, and I'll get my HazMat later, but it's still hard not to focus on bad reviews on companies when they're talking about the things you want. For example, I want a company that provides lodging and meals, so it's natural to raise my eyes on a review that said this company have undercook/bad food and the room is full of roaches, I hope you get where I'm coming from.

And here I thought I wouldn't have to talk to anybody in Trucking, which is the main reason I got into it... Looks like I was wrong LOL!! You're right bro, I'm an introvert and having an accent and a heavy stuttering problem isn't helping, like people can hardly understand me, bro. Having to call companies is already too much, but now I have to talk to other drivers also. Yeah, I'm in for a treat... I'll get in my 1 year, stick it out then the next company I'm gonna look for, I'm gonna put as much research as I can before jumping ship.

You don't have to talk MUCH to people in trucking after you get hired, get through training, are assigned your truck. But you still need to speak to customers (shippers & receivers) so they know which load you are to receive. However getting started, trained requires more talking than after you are a solo driver.

Yeah did reefer for about 6 years and Tanker for about 3 1/2 years the good part about tanker was the wait times, you pretty much got to your destination and unloaded, the same with loading, the only delays were during a thunder storm if we were discharging fuel at the mines when they had gone to an orange alert, we had to wait till the all clear was given, one night we spent about 2 hrs sitting around till the storm passed, with loading it was just a matter of how many were at the fuel depot, sometimes you'd go straight in and other times you could wait for hours. on average the wait was about 40 minutes. Although when its all said and done you get delayed no matter what kind of freight your hauling. It just depends on the frequency I suppose. The difference with reefer is getting used to the motor running behind your cab, and how annoying it can be for other drivers parked next to you at the truck stop. Freight wise reefer has more options compared to dry van, which is why I'd still choose to haul reefer.

Yeah, Prime's not hiring in my area, I think I'm gonna go with Melton, based on their website and most videos I watched on YouTube on them, they have most of the things I'm looking for. I'll call them tomorrow, get more information and get on with them, hopefully, they're still hiring in South Florida...
