got here in St. Louis at 11:00 am Sat. 12/30/23. It is now 1:06 am. 1/3/24 supposedly waiting for a load . Been told there is no freight. How long is too long. I'm already not going to make a check next week.
Just waiting

Bet that was a fun holiday weekend, huh? Sorry, but new drivers should take note, this is what you may run into while the rest of family and friends are enjoying life. You've already waited long enough, and I'd be on the Silver Dog on the way home. In the future, I'm always leery about "weekend" loads, a holiday weekend, more so. I don't blame your company so much, may take a day or so to get their heads back on, but nothing on the 1st call in the morning, I wouldn't stick around.

Long holiday weekends can suck when on the road. Need to get loaded last regular day hopefully for long run delivery day after the holiday

Well I was told they had a load out of P and G after I delivered there. Once I dropped at Sam's in o fallon il was told the load canceled. And it wouldn't be that bad if it was ever once in a while but here the last 2 months I haven't made over 1400 miles in a week. I've tried to work it out thinking about the holidays but I've got to be able to pay my bills too.
