Oh come on now. Have a little fun. Put the hinges in the back!:biggrin_2559: I kind of miss those, they were pretty cool (looking).

But then I also miss the unmuffled jakes. I just love to hear those "chains rattle!"

    Yeah, I know. Weird.:biggrin_25525:

Speaking of birds . Every once in awhile you hear of a older truck that has a funny sounding air horn until it launches the dead bird out...:biggrin_2556:

we had an old tractor with a straight pipe and when ever it was parked outside at night it had a tin can over the pipe. I this case, the pipe came straight off the turbo and out the hood. It was done to prevent water from getting into the trubo, which wouldn't be good.

Yeah, i'm pretty sure it's so that rain doesn't get in there.

You don't want rain/moisture in the exhaust pipes; One time i towed a custom display trailer to calif for bank of america. My orange juice went bad, so just to see what would happen and instead of pouring it on the ground, i poured it into the stack.

It WILL turn a red trailer pitch black. i don't think BofA was too happy about that.

    It did smell good/interesting though.

How much dope did you have to smoke before you thought that was a good idea?

No dope; i was very tired because i was running late(because i had some personal stuff to take care of) so i was running hard and actually had to take naps in the dab cab (it was with a day cab). So, even with hotels, i kind of cut my sleeping short to try to make it on time.

This was only maybe the 3rd time i drove cross country, so i guess i may have gotten a little bored; This was, i think, in new mexico.

In the National Guard, our trucks would sit for weeks on end, when we started them,it use to rain black soot everywhere.you never stood near the truck.
