I lost everything i owned before i quit, so thanks for trying to look smart. I quit because i lost everything i owned, could make more money by doing absolutely nothing, and went and did that. I was doing everything i could to make money. I also point out that...while i STILL complain about my job (lol), I'm making money now...I havent changed a thing about how i do my job. I just changed who i worked for.

I just talked to the CRST recruiter who said he was going to put me in a refresher course. It sounded good at first but from what you are saying you paid $500 for 8 hours of driving (do you mean a total of 8 hours or 8 hours a day?) AND had to pay for your travel out there, hotel, medical & drug screen? The recruiter did not mention these costs. What was the total cost for the week of refresher training? Are you still with CRST? Would you recommend going this route with them? Thanks!

. If you go there, just dtay there long enough to get experience to get a better job. Also, get toll money in advance, or you will never see your money again
The money you make is enough to pay for food and for a cell phone. Be careful of taking advances, they and Comdata charge fees.
Finally when I gave my week's notice, I drove solo for 9 days and made $200. I'm working for Panther Expedited for an owner, who owns 30 trucks. I make a percentage of what the truck makes. Last week was my first week with new owner, I made $760 for only driving about 800 miles. I did drive with an owner from CRST; he was my trainer; he was paying me .32 cpm. And he was cheating me out of some of my pay( dedention, layover, no dh miles). If I had driven for him 800 m # .32 cpm= $256. Oh yeah, a very wise business decision.
Well, I hope I answered your questions. Good luck to you. -

Don't go to CRST unless this is the only company that will hire you. The refresher was not worth $500; I drove only 8 hours total for the whole week. CRST gets a grant from Iowa for every student who gets their CDL. They tell you they provide transportation/motel. You will have to pay it back. That was explained in my earlier posts.

BTW: once you go through the school for CRST, and go to orientation, how long do you go without a pay check? I'm asking cause I don't need to get behind in my bills.
