At least you guys stops are loaded on pallets!!! At Mclane, everything is dead stacked from the floor up!! And of course it never fails, our loaders will build a wall with tortilla chips as the base, and then stack up 6 or 7 cases of gaterade on top of it!! Talk about leaning walls!! Then, you have to load lock the crap outa of it, and pray that you don't encounter any morons on the road between your next stop. As for the loaders, they do not care how it loaded, they will mix your stops in togther, so that you have to down stack half a wall just to get to that one case. But I guess this is why we are payed the way we are. It is a VERY physical job, but you get home time often, and the benefits are great. You just gotta remember all that when your out there fighting your load.

Not to mention sending you out blind with no directions or clue where the store is located. I had a NY run where I did a bunch or Long Island ABP's, my 1st night finding these store was in pouring wind swept rain. If it wasn't for my GPS, I would of been out there forever!! Still, most of the stores were in office complexes, so you did have a sign or anything to give you a hint on what building they were in or how to even get in. I spent over a hour at one looking for a loading dock that didn't exist, but the manifest said it was there!! Yeah, I remember well what went through my head, come pick up your #$%#! truck, I'm taking a cab home..............LOL!!:biggrin_25523:
