Once I got that Shoemakersville rescue dropped I sat at the frystown flying j for about 4 hrs until a load finally came through. Live loaded in Reading then dropped on Richmond yard last night then got planned 930 this morning on the sysco from front royal to Indy. Might be up to 30 minutes late though due to the heavy load and going across I68 at 30 mph up all them hills. Thankfully I discovered you can change drive modes in the Volvo, I always assumed we were locked into extreme economy. That performance mode makes a huge difference when going up hills constantly. Though it will automatically revert to extreme economy or economy when going down hill or on flat for a bit but it will stay in performance mode if you are constantly up and down hills.

Delivered my sysco Thursday then got sent to Columbus to load that Volvo load that goes to Radford, Va. got there 1530 and didn’t get loaded until 2200, don’t know if they were behind or what but that was a first for me going there, normally in the dock at 1600 and loaded in 10 minutes. Parked in the last spot at the Loves in Circleville. Delivered that Friday at 1500 then bounced to Wytheville for gatorade to Indy. Got to Indy Sat afternoon right as the severe thunderstorm hit and rained so hard you couldn’t see but a few feet in front of you. Of course there was that one super trucker screaming on tge CB for everyone to get out of the way and stay off the roads, etc…. if afraid to drive 70 plus in bad weather. Couple of old hands got on the radio and kept messing with him, I thought he was gonna have stroke screaming, lol! Dropped then grabbed an empty reefer because that was all they had empty wise then did a 34 at the J in Spiceland. Hit up the gamestop and Walmart while was there before I parked for the weekend. First thing this morning a two stop BH outta New Castle came through with stops in Mt. Juliet and Alpharetta. Mt. Juliet will take me early tomorrow instead of noon then Ill bounce to Alpharetta to spend the night there for 0400 Wed. morning.

That's a pretty accurate description of most of my trips there. I have spent the night in their parking lot twice because they ran me out of hours.

Apparently they don’t allow overnight parking anymore being they stacked a bunch of stuff in that gravel lot out back. I thought about going to the swift yard down the road since we drop there sometimes but never had luck with somebody answering the gate intercom at night.

    ExtremeUnction Thanks this.

If anyone gets BH to Mt Juliet, Tn it is better to come up industrial dr from the south off division street and blind side into the dock, one of those places where blind side is easier than sight side. Real friendly guy and took me early after I called day before getting there.

    ExtremeUnction and Finfn1372 Thank this.

You mean to tell me that Alan, Kimberly and Joe are no longer running Abilene into the ground? I get it, being investigated for skimming monies that belong to the klan in Phoenix is a good enough reason to get fired, but did they really have to fire Brittany the nurse practitioner? I guess they all can get a job driving a truck for .50cpm.

Now it makes perfectly good sense as to where the $3000 company match for the 401K that never happened went. Right into someone’s pocket. This turn of events almost makes it worth while.
