Went to Dads today to get some pictures for the Celebration of Life this Sunday for Dad.

Found a couple of knives he had made, 1 in particular that he made on the design of a woman’s high heeled shoe. He called it the Appalachain Lady.
And found a pic of a much younger me as a country bumpkin on the farm….

Same here. I was thinking about pattern making paper, but this is quicker and easier.

I wondered if that was fingernail polish or touch up paint. I decided that it didn't matter as it worked well.

Yesterday, my SIL tells me that her daughter, my eldest niece was getting married today. Well, she ran off to elope. The stupid boy’s family wanted a wedding, so they were to marry today. She’s 22, he’s 19. High school dropout, no GED, no job…just weed, emo music and video games. He will be moving into her place after the wedding. They have been dating 2 months.

Last I spoke to her was January. She had been dating another boy, but the boy’s father broke them up and told her that his son was too good for her. She was shocked that her boyfriend just sat there silent.

My question is, how in the blue blazes do you up and marry someone that you don’t know?

It takes a year or 2 just to see if the mask slips and they reveal themselves. Two months is just insanity.

In the old days they had mail order brides— but most that ordered had means to feed a family and they worked out from there— the no means to feed a family would be a deal killer back in the old days
